Circle of life family medicine3/29/2024 ![]() Developing long-time, close relationships with patients is an aspect of the job that most physicians don’t get to enjoy. I get to know my patients as people, caring for them physically, emotionally, and mentally. In some ways, being a family physician is like being a parent or a trusted friend. I can also help people anywhere in the country, opening my practice in underserved areas to provide healthcare to many who wouldn’t otherwise have accessible care. It’s nice to be able to be a part of a patient’s care - sometimes from birth through end of life.
